Prof. Josip Galić is a full professor at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb. He is the Head of the Department of Building and Building Physics and the Head of the Structural Engineering Office. His areas of scientific research include strengthening existing concrete and masonry structures with FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer), reinforcing concrete structures with FRP, structures with additive polymer TPMS (Triply Periodic Minimal Surface) structures, glass structures, close cavity facades, and pneumatic robotic (pneubotic) structures. As a result of his research, he has published over 50+ SCI papers in refereed international journals and has been invited as a plenary/keynote speaker at international conferences. In addition to his research, he is actively involved in the design of structural systems and has participated in the design and implementation of over 200 complex structures in the fields of building construction, industry, and infrastructure. He is a recipient of all major professional awards in Croatia in the field of structural design and is a certified state reviewer for complex load-bearing structures.
