Professor Katarzyna Rzeszut sins 1993 is the academic worker at Poznan University of Technology. Since 2020 she is Director of Institute of Building Engineering, Faculty of Civil and Transport Engineering at Poznan University of Technology. In the years 2003-2022 she was the institute coordinator of the Erasmus program, and from 2021 she is the WP2 leader in the EUNICE program. Currently, he manages five international projects. She is a member of PIIB and WOIB (since 2000), the Metal Structures Section of Polish Academy of Science KILiW PAN (since 2007), PTMKM (since 2002), PZITB (since 2017) and GAMM (since 2018). During her professional career, she received 4 individual awards and 12 team awards of the Rector of the Poznan University of Technology, the award of PTMKM and the Scientific Committee of CMM 2003, and in 2016 the Medal of the National Education Commission and the KPSW medal. She has particularly rich teaching and popularizing achievements in the field of international cooperation. The main directions of her scientific interests are methods of designing and assessing the durability of metal structures, non-linear sensitivity analysis, optimal design of thin-walled cold-formed steel structures taking into account imperfections and clearances, as well as restraining methods of CFS “sigma” types beams using CFRP tapes and wraps. Moreover her scientific interests incudes issues connected with sustainable buildings and design of structures in fire conditions. She is the author and co-author of nearly a hundred scientific articles, the author of one scientific monograph and co-author of engineering manuals.
