Architect Cao Dinh Son graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, Vietnam in 2000, completed a Master's degree in architecture in 2006, and from 2019 to the present is studying as a doctoral student at Silpakorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. His field of activity is architectural design and construction, he has headed many big design projects in Vietnam as the chief designer and CEO of Vietnam's ACSA27 Company of Architecture. Research fields include vernacular architecture and the phenomenon of acculturation in architecture between the Vietnamese and the Chams people in Central Vietnam during the existence of the Cochinchina kingdom from the 16 th century to the first half of the 19 th century. In addition, he has devoted nearly 25 years to the career of education and training for young Vietnamese architects from the year of 2000s to the present, working as a university lecturer at No3 Construction College (Phu Yen Province), Binh Duong University (Binh Duong Province) and Van Lang University (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam. His next direction is to continue developing research on cultural acculturation in architecture, researching the preservation of traditional house construction techniques, and applying it to the design and construction of modernized architecture, contributing to preserving Vietnamese architectural identity.
