Faisal Anwar received his PhD in Civil Engineering (Environmental) from Nagoya University, Japan and currently, he is working as an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering in the School of Civil and Mechanical Engineering at Curtin University, Australia. Prior to Curtin, he was also an Associate Professor of Water Resources Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh and worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Environmental Engineering and Architecture at Nagoya University Japan. He is a Fellow and a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) of Engineers Australia. His research interests include climate change and water resources engineering, urban hydrology and stormwater management, contaminant removal from water and engineering education. He is the recipient of numerous awards such as, Curtin Excellence and Innovation in Teaching Award 2023 for Outstanding Contribution to Learning and Teaching at Curtin University Australia, JSWE‐IDEA Water Environment International Exchange Award 2023 from Japan Society on Water Environment, JSPS Invitational Fellowship Award 2020 at Tokyo/Chuo University Japan, National Citation Award 2013 for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning - Australian Awards for University Teaching from the Office for Learning and Teaching of Australian Government, Curtin Excellence and Innovation in Teaching Award 2012 (Teaching Excellence) and Pro-Vice Chancellor Award for Teaching Excellence 2011, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia
