Pedro da Silva Delgado is Adjunct Professor at the Department of Engineering and Technology Sciences of ESTG-IPVC, Portugal (Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão–Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo). He has completed his PhD in Civil Engineering - Structures in 2009 with the title: “Seismic Safety Assessment of Bridges”, at FEUP (Faculty of Eng. of University of Porto), a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering - Structures in 2001 and a Degree in Civil Engineering (Structures) in 1997. During the last years he has carried out research within the scope of several national and international projects, focused on the study of the seismic behavior of reinforced concrete bridges involving the study of various methodologies for the structural analysis and evaluation of seismic safety considering the material nonlinear behavior. As well as the experimental study of the cyclic behavior of hollow bridge columns, including various reinforcement solutions, and corresponding calibration of numerical models. - 2019-2023, Vice-director of ESTG-IPVC - Since 2018, Integrated Member of proMetheus - Research Unit on Materials, Energy and Environment for Sustainability at IPVC. - 2015-2020, Coordinator of the Master of Civil Engineering and Environment, ESTGIPVC. - 2009-2013 and first semester of 2015-2016, Coordinator of the Civil Engineering and Environment Graduation Course, ESTG-IPVC. - Since 2007, he has participated in an international research group, European Ass.
