Giuseppe La Verde works at Department of Physics “E. Pancini” – University of Naples Federico II, Naples, Italy. His research activity, with a distinctive multidisciplinary approach, is carried out in the field of Ionizing Radiations and refers to three different areas: 1. Environmental radioactivity: radiometric characterization of environmental matrices, rocks and building materials through gamma spectrometry measurements; identification and study of places with high activity concentrations of radon gas, 2. Radiation protection: study of exposure scenarios for workers and the population to ionizing radiation derived from NORM industries; study of exposure to radon gas in work, domestic and Historical buildings and cultural heritage, Circular Economy, Sustainability 3. Physics applied to biology and pharmacology: study of the effects of ionizing radiation (used in radiotherapy) on the cytoskeleton and analysis of internalization of nanoparticles in tumor cells. He has many interactions with national and international research institutions and is very involved in the editorial and international conference fields.
