Dr. Yaohua ZHU graduated from the North-Eastern University of China in 1965. Since then he has been working continuously in research institutes and universities for over forty years, majoring materials science and engineering ( phase transformations and advanced processing of alloys and semiconductors ). He received a degree of Doctor of Philosophy in metallurgy and materials science in 1983, and was conferred a higher doctor degree of Doctor of Science in applied science and engineering, in 2006, in The Aston University, UK. Over 114 peer reviewed journal articles and 4 books, constituting systematical and original researches have been published covering various aspects of physical metallurgy. His recent researches focus on electropulsing induced phase transformations and their effects on electrical, optical and thermal properties of thin films of transparent conductive oxides and thermo-electric semiconductors.
