Moses Kingsford Flomo is a Material Scientist and Engineer, currently a PhD Candidate in Material Science and Engineering at the Changchun University of Science and Technology in China. His doctoral research focuses on enhancing the moisture resistance of long afterglow luminescent materials through polymer coating—a cutting-edge area with significant applications in sustainable building technologies. He holds a Master of Science degree in Material Science and Engineering from the African University of Science and Technology in Abuja, Nigeria, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Cuttington University in Liberia. He also received a certificate in Russian and International Studies from the People’s Friendship University of Russia and was honored as an awardee of the prestigious 2016/2017 African Presidential Scholarship Program at the University of Michigan in the United States of America. With over eight years of academic and industry experience, he has served as a Senior Lecturer at Cuttington University and Bong County Technical College, where he also chaired the Engineering Department. His leadership roles included supervising departmental activities, revising curricula, organizing academic workshops and symposiums, and mentoring emerging engineering students. He also worked as a Senior Laboratory Technician at Firestone Liberia, where he specialized in quality control testing of rubber and latex. As an emerging researcher/engineer, Mr. Flomo holdsover sixpublications (including articles and book chapters) to his credit and continues to strivein developing novel materials for optimal usage in the field of Material Science and Engineering. His dedication to science, coupled with his ambition for international exposure and research excellence, marks him as a rising thought leader in sustainable materials engineering. He is passionate about education, research, and mentorship, and enjoys jogging and playing table tennis in his leisure time.
