Ennio Cascetta is full Professor of infrastructure and transport systems at the Universitas Mercatorum and for over 30 years he taught at the Federico II University of Naples. He has been Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for 25 years. His scientific activity has given rise to over 200 publications and textbooks adopted by numerous universities around the world. The influence of his research places him in the top 1% of world scientists in all disciplines in the Princeton University rankings. He has worked in transport and logistics as a Public Administrator, Designer and company Manager. He was President of Anas spa, Coordinator of the Technical Mission Structure of the Italian Ministry of Infrastructures and Transports and President of Metropolitana di Napoli SpA. He was Transport Councilor of the Campania Region from 2000 to 2010 and from 2005 to 2010 Coordinator of the transport councilors of the State-Regions Conference. Since October 2011 he has been President of the Scientific Committee of the Caracciolo Foundation of the Automobil Club Italia. He is President of the National Transport Technology Cluster and of Tecne spa, an Autostrade per l'Italia Group company.
