Dr. Mahamad Nabab Alam received his PhD in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India, in 2018. He has done PDF from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. He is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Warangal, India. His research interests include power system protection, distribution automation, artificial intelligence techniques, and networked microgrids. He has developed a Benchmark Test System for Networked Microgrids, which is one of his key contributions to the smart grid area. Also, he is a senior member of the IEEE. He is a member of The Smart Grids International Research Facility Network (SIRFN) and is associated with developing Power System Testing cases under SIRFN. Stanford University has listed him among the Top 2% of Scientists Across the World in 2021, 2022 and 2023. He is an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Energy Research journal for a special issue on Advanced Protection Schemes for the Smart Grid. He has reviewed several articles for leading IEEE, IET, Elsevier, and Springer journals.
