Amir is a doctoral researcher at the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering in the Fluid and Climate Technology group. His work focuses on designing, controlling, and optimizing smart energy systems for efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable heating, cooling, and electricity production, storage, and usage. In 2024, Amir was recognized among the World's Top 2% Scientists for the third consecutive year, as published by Stanford University and Elsevier. As a principal investigator, his recent work on the Termo project—funded by the Swedish Energy Agency—was selected as the top projects by the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA). Previously, Amir worked as a Research Assistant at the Smart Thermal Energy Systems Laboratory, Department of Energy, Aalborg University, Denmark. During this time, he contributed to the OffG-ReneCS project, which developed and demonstrated an off-grid, renewable-based cold storage solution for agricultural applications in India. He was also involved in the "Smart Electricity-Heat Neighbors via Integration of Heat Storage and Solar PVT Panels" project in Denmark.
