Dr. Galal Mohammed Al-Mekhlafi is a PhD-qualified Civil Engineer with over 10 years of experience in academia, research, and structural engineering. Currently serving as Head of the Civil Engineering Department at ALASALA Colleges (Dammam, Saudi Arabia). His expertise spans composite materials (CFRP), stainless steel structures, finite element analysis, seismic assessment, and strengthening of steel-concrete structures. Dr. Al-Mekhlafi holds a Ph.D. from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) and has published in peer-reviewed journals (Thin-Walled Structures, Engineering Structures). His research focuses on innovative materials and structural optimisation, with recent work on CFRP-strengthened stainless steel columns and thermal performance of concrete.
