Prof Li is currently a Chair Professor at Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Department of Physics, and School of Microelectronics, SUSTech. Before joining SUSTech, he was endowed professor at University of Colorado, Boulder, from 2015 to 2023, professor at National University of Singapore from 2000 to 2015. He has authored and co-authored over 400 publications including 3 in Rev. Mod. Phys, 30 in Phys. Rev. Lett. His publication has received over 31500 citations with H-index 95. He is APS Fellow, selected member of Academia Europaea. His research focus on phononics, optomechanics and phonon control, heat conduction in micro and nanoscale systems/materials, advanced interfacial thermal materials machine learning and thermal materials and thermal management design.
