Hyunmin Kim is the principal researcher in the division of Biotechnology at DGIST (Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science Technology). He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in materials science and engineering from Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) and completed his PhD in physical chemistry at the University of California, Irvine. During his post-doctoral tenure at NIST Gaithersburg, he introduced the concept of focus-engineered focal shrinkage in nonlinear optical four-wave mixing microscopy. His primary focus involves developing optical instruments, specifically those related to Raman-based super-resolution imaging techniques. Additionally, he is engaged in the development of various nonlinear optical ultrafast pump-probe measurement tools to explore the carrier dynamics of low-dimensional hybrid systems.
