Yew San Hor is a faculty member at the Physics Department in Missouri University of Science and Technology since 2010. His area of expertise is in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics. In 2013, Dr. Hor was honored with the National Science Foundation’s Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award. His research focuses on the development of new topological insulator and superconductor crystals, investigating the surfaces of topological insulators, and studying various novel solid state materials, including quantum material systems. These systems encompass a range of materials such as three-dimensional topological insulators, topological superconductors, nanostructured materials for thermoelectric power and cooling, and correlated electron systems. His work is significant for both advancing scientific knowledge and potential technological innovations.
