Mohamed A. Barakat is a Prof.of Environmental Sciences.He is an experienced academician and prolific researcherin the field ofEnvironmental Sciences including; Industrial Wastes Management and Pollution Control, Catalysis and Nanotechnology, Modified adsorbents, Membrane technology,Recycling of Industrial Solid Wastes, Wastes to Energy Production, andEnvironmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Studies. Prof. Barakat has published more than 160 papers in ISI journals andthree US-Patents.He has served as an editorial board member of many reputable journals and he is a reviewer on Elsevier Editorial Board System. According to Scopus, his h-index is 47 and number of citations totals to 10340. He wasIncluding in the ranking list of Stanford University, USA for the top 2% Scientists, 2021 and 2022. He also wasawarded“State Award for Excellence in Advanced Technology Sciences”, Academy of Sciences, Egypt (2021), Jeddah Prize of Creativeness in Saudi Arabia (2018), Award of Excellences in Scientific Publications at KAU in Saudi Arabia (2011–2016), Environmental Research Award from the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in Egypt (2003 and 2013), and King Hassan II Prize for the Environment in Morocco (2008). Prof. Barakat is currently a professor in the Faculty of Meteorology, Environment and Arid Land Agriculture, King Abdulaziz University (KAU), Saudi Arabia. He is also a Professor of Mineral Technology at Central Metallurgical R& D Institute (CMRDI), Cairo, Egypt.His experience further includes academic research in Japan, USA, and Germany, as well as initiating and leading industrial research projects in Egypt and Saudi Arabia in collaboration with research institutions in USA.
