Almontas Vilutis is currently a final year PhD student at Vytautas Magnus University (VMU AA), Department of Mechanical, Energy and Biotechnology Engineering(Kaunas city, Lithuania), thesis supervisor is Professor Vytenis Jankauskas. Under the guidance of the same supervisor, he completed his Master's degree at the same university in 2005. He has over 19 years of practical experience and knowledge working in manufacturing companies, both national and multinational capital. He is currently also studying and working as an Engineering Project Manger and has direct contact with suppliers and customers from various countries (USA, Denmark, Singapore, etc.). Over 10 years of experience in polymeric glass fiber plastic composites, the materials used and the manufacturing techniques (lamination, VARTM, light RTM, silicon bagging, thermoforming). His PhD thesis is also related to polymer composites, "Experimental research and modeling of machinability of wood-plastic composites". Almontas has already participated in five international conferences, published several papers at international level, was on an Erasmus internship at Tallinn University of Technology, and is currently working on a joint paper with researchers from the Czech Technical University in Prague. Title of Talk : Experimental Research and Computer Modeling of Extruded Wood-Plastic Composites: Mechanical Properties, Fracture Resistance, Machinability by Milling.
