Kedafi Belkhirisassociateprofessor (Maître de Conférences) at Centrale Lille Institut in France. He is doing his research in the “Ingénierie des SystèmesPolymères” (ISP) team of the“UnitéMatériaux Et Transformations” laboratory (UMET CNRS,UMR8207).He is also a teacher at the Ecole NationaleSupérieure de Chimie de Lille (ENSCL) and at the University of Lille, in the fields of polymers and chemistry. He got his Ph.D. in Chemistryand Materials Science (2017) at university of Saint‐Etienne, France, at the “Ingénierie desMatériauxPolymères” (IMP) laboratory. In 2017‐18, he workedatENSAIT of Roubaix as a Temporary Assistant Professor (ATER) in the “Génie desMatériaux Textiles”(GEMTEX) laboratory, on functionalization of polymers andpreparation of textile materials in a meltspinning process. In 2018‐19, he performed a one‐yearpostdoctoral fellowship in the IMP laboratory of Saint‐Etienne on polymer processingundermicrowaves. He achieved a second one‐year postdoctoral position, 2019‐20, at“Institut CharlesGérhardt” (ICGM) of Montpellier, in the “Ingénierie et ArchitecturesMacromoléculaires” (IAM) team, where he synthesized polyoxazoline amphiphilic blockcopolymers bearing coumarin groups, UV-sensitivemonomers and their polymerizationto make UV‐responsive nanoparticles for drug delivery. Thanks to these experiences,he gained a strong expertise in the synthesis and design of custom‐mademacromolecular architectures and stimuli‐responsive materials, their characterizationat the molecular, nano, micro and macro scale, and in polymer processing. Currently he supervises PhD theses and coordinates research projects on Self-Immolative Polymers, a new category of smart polymers, for biomedical applications and recycling.
