Annamaria Di Fabio, Ph.D, Full Professor in Work and Organizational Psychology at the Department of Education, Languages, Intercultures, Literatures and Psychology (Psychology Section), University of Florence (Florence, Italy), where she is director of the two International Research and Intervention Laboratories: “Cross-Cultural Positive Psychology, Prevention, and Sustainability (CCrossPoPP&S)” and “Work and Organizational Psychology for Vocational Guidance, Career Counseling, Career Development, Talents and Healthy Organizations (WOProCCareerT&HO). She succeeded in officially giving birth to the current research and intervention area of the Psychology of Sustainability and Sustainable Development within Sustainability Science and its transdisciplinary approach in 2016 in the scientific journal Sustainability Science (Springer Publisher) with the first dedicated section for which she is the Section Editor since the beginning (cfr. https://www.springer.com/journal/11625). Furthermore, in 2019 another section dedicated to the Psychology of Sustainability and Sustainable Development was created in the scientific journal Sustainability (MDPI Publisher) with her as the Section Editor (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/sustainability/sections/Psychology_Sustainable_Development). Other editorship positions: editor-in-chief of the Australian Journal of Career Development (Sage Publisher) since 2021; co-editor of the British Journal of Guidance and Counselling (Routledge Taylor & Francis Group Publisher) since 2023; editor-in-chief of Counseling. International Journal of Research and Intervention (Erickson Publisher) since 2008. Her principal research areas are the following: psychology of sustainability and sustainable development, eco-generativity, healthy organizations, decent work, decent lives, healthy lives, well- being at work and in life, human capital sustainability leadership; sustainability in career, sustainable working, psychology of individual differences, positive psychology in strength-based prevention and cross-cultural perspectives. She is the author of more than 200 peer-reviewed articles and of more than 100 books and book chapters. She was recently awarded among the Top Italian Scientists in the world (TIWS) for the commitment and the high number of citations in scientific research, May 2024. She was repeatedly invited to many international scientific conferences both as keynote speaker and as chair and discussant. She has traditionally had many international agreements and collaborations for research activities with several universities and institutions all over the world (USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Japan, Malesia, South Korea, Indonesia, Bangladesh, China, Vietnam, India, and Europe). She has been elected in 2018 in the Board of Directors of the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP), re-elected in 2022 for the next 4 years (in charge). She is also responsible for the Special International IAAP Project “Promoting Decent Work for All”, International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP) (since 2018, re-appointed in 2022, and currently in charge). She is both the Congress Vice-president and the President of the Scientific Committee and Program of the 2026 ICAP (International Congress of Applied Psychology), the world congress of the oldest association of Applied Psychology founded in 1920: the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP).
