Dr. Mrinal Kanti Sen is an Assistant Professor (Stage II) in the Department of Civil Engineering at Assam Don Bosco University, India. He holds a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from NIT Silchar, an M.Tech in Structural Engineering from Lovely Professional University, and a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from NIT Agartala. His research focuses on infrastructure resilience, structural engineering, disaster risk reduction, and probabilistic modeling. Dr. Sen has authored 23 international journal papers, 4 book chapters, and presented his work in over 7 international and national conferences. He is a reviewer for reputed journals such as the International Journal of Structural Integrity, International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction and ADBU Journal of Engineering Technology. He is also a recipient of the CDRI Fellowship (2025–26) for his project on “Resilience of Social and Critical Infrastructure against Seismic Hazard using Markov Chain.” His research integrates probabilistic and multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) tools to evaluate and enhance the resilience of infrastructure systems against natural hazards. Title of talk: Resilience of Infrastructure against Hazards using Probabilistic and MCDM Tools.”
