Dr. Payel Chaudhuri is a senior educator and researcher in Structural Engineering, currently serving as Assistant Professor at Vignan’s University. She earned her Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, where her thesis focused on vibration control of multi-storey buildings using magnetorheological dampers. A Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow (Seal of Excellence, European Commission, 2025) and University Gold Medalist during her M.Tech, she has extensive expertise in structural dynamics, optimization, vibration control, and soil-structure interaction. Her professional journey spans academia and industry, with teaching roles at Haldia Institute of Technology, Ramgarh Engineering College, and Budge Budge Institute of Technology, alongside engineering positions in SK Projectcon Pvt. Ltd. and Jain Infraprojects Ltd. She has published over ten SCI-indexed papers, authored book chapters, presented at sixteen international conferences, and serves as a reviewer for leading journals. Beyond research, she mentors Ph.D. and postgraduate students, organizes academic conferences, and contributes invited technical talks at IITs, and to professional activities in civil engineering.
