Prof. Suprabeet Datta is an emerging thought leader in transportation engineering and intelligent mobility systems, currently serving as Assistant Professor at the School of Construction and Technology, NICMAR University of Construction Studies, Hyderabad, India. His work lies at the intersection of traffic engineering, artificial intelligence, and behavioural analysis, with a particular emphasis on improving the performance and safety of urban intersections under heterogeneous traffic conditions. He earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, where he pioneered data-driven frameworks for capacity and level of service (LOS) assessment of uncontrolled intersections using GPS-based analytics and advanced machine learning models. Building on this foundation, his postdoctoral research at NIT Warangal and IIT Guwahati expanded into autonomous vehicle adoption, driver risk perception, and pedestrian–vehicle interaction modeling, employing cutting-edge techniques such as structural equation modeling, neural networks, and explainable AI. Title of talk: From Clustering to Cognitive Traffic Systems: Intelligent Modeling of Uncontrolled Intersections.
