Jihye Choi is a Master’s student in the Department of Urban and Transportation Engineering at Kyonggi University, Republic of Korea. Her research focuses on pedestrian behavior analysis, urban rail transit systems, and data-driven transportation analysis. She is particularly interested in understanding age-specific pedestrian characteristics and improving the realism of pedestrian simulation in complex transit environments using video-based data and deep learning-based detection techniques (e.g., YOLOv8). Her recent work includes analyzing elderly pedestrian behavior in urban rail stations and applying the findings to simulation-based evaluation and design improvement. Title of talk: Enhancing Sustainable and Inclusive Urban Rail Infrastructure through Age-Specific Pedestrian Behavior Analysis
