Sramana Das is a Senior Research Fellow (PhD scholar) at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Kolkata, West Bengal, India. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Calcutta and her Master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna, India, where she worked on Electromagnetically Induced Transparency (EIT) using Rydberg Atoms. For her doctoral research, she is pursuing theoretical and experimental studies on the Spin-Orbit Interaction of Light using Optical Tweezers, under the supervision of Prof. Ayan Banerjee at IISER Kolkata. She is also proficient in programming languages such as C and MATLAB, which she applies in her research. Title of Talk: Exotic Spin-Orbit Interaction of Light in Stratified Media: Theoretical and Experimental Studies with Optical Tweezers.
