Wang Qian obtained her Ph.D. degree from Nanyang Technological University in 2012. From 2013 to 2014, she was an ASTAR International Fellowship recipient at the Optoelectronics Research Centre, University of Southampton. She subsequently joined the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE), ASTAR, where she is now a Principal Scientist leading a group dedicated to developing nanoimaging and defect inspection technologies. She has published over 50 papers in high-impact journals, including Science, Nature Photonics, Light: Science & Applications, and Advanced Materials. Her research interests include metamaterials, non-volatile phase-change materials, near-field manipulation of plasmonics and phonon polaritons, as well as all-optical neuromorphic computing. Title of Talk: Chalcogenide Phase Change Materials for Nanophotonic Applications.
