Dr. Tan Nguyen is the director and founder of the Production and Drilling Research Project (PDRP) at NMT. Dr. Nguyen holds a Ph.D. degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Tulsa. He is currently a Professor and John Kelly Endowned Chair of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. His current research projects focus on drilling, wellbore integrity, well design, and well completion for oil and gas wells, class VI wells, and geothermal wells. Dr. Nguyen serves as PI/co-PI for multiple DOE and industrial projects with the focus on CCUS.
